The process of creating something by using wood is known as woodworking. The trainee will learn how to work with measurement in a variety of contexts, read and interpret basic drawings, produce sawn timber and board product components and products including wooden toys, prepare products for hand staining, identify and carry out repairs to finishing damage on products, assist with prepare, manufacture and erect roof trusses, erect ceilings and timber frame partitions and carpentry finishing components.


Upholstery elements will also be included in woodwork training. The trainee will learn how to restore the frame by using basic upholstery hand tools, prepare/restore the support system, making cushioning and the covering.
