Early Childhood Development – Die Brede Babbelbekkies

Letting young children experience a nurturing and stimulating environment has a lasting effect on the rest of their lives

The Breede Educare accommodates 1 to 5-year-old children from Monday to Friday under the loving and expert care of qualified ECD teachers and assistants. Nutritious food, educational stimulation, circle time, stories, play and establishing good habits form the core of the Amazing Brainz learning programme.  Participation of parents is highly valued while regular training sessions aim to deepen the positive impact on the children

Parenting for Lifelong Health

The parenting programme aims to establish and sustain nurturing relationships between parents or caregivers and their children ages 2 to 9. It strengthens parenting skills and behaviours that help parents and caregivers provide adequate support and care to their children. By building positive relations and promoting alternatives to violent discipline, the programme may also contribute to the prevention and treatment of disruptive child behaviours, and the reduction of parental stress and depression.

After School Programme

This programme, using stories, reading, arts, crafts, music, games, cycling, camps and sport as tools, aims to build on the eagerness of children 4 to 14 years old to learn, to positively encourage and motivate them in all their various expressions, so that they grow up to love learning and doing, with a strong self-image, with dreams for a future and the resilience to achieve it.

All programmes are led by youth leaders who are young local people employed and trained to lead and be role models for the children.  On occasion, skilled teachers offer their time and expertise
